Our position
Boom acts as a service provider to the institution. The college remains the owner of its education records, and Boom reads them only for the legitimate educational interest of supporting students who are pulling away.
What we never do
We never grade or discipline a student, we never contact a student without a staff member approving the message, and we never resell or repurpose student data.
A person decides
Replies that signal distress pause automation and go straight to a person. Students can reply STOP at any time, and the sequence ends there.
Evidence and review
An ESSA-aligned logic model is underway, and design partners get a weekly impact digest so the college can judge whether this is working.
