What Boom reads, and what it keeps.
Boom AI is built for colleges, and it is built to read as little as possible. This is a plain-language summary of how that works.
What we read
Once a night, Boom reads the records your college already holds: Canvas activity such as logins and missed submissions, and SIS records such as holds, registration status and coursework status. Read-only access is the default, and write-back to any system is off unless you turn it on.
What we keep
The signals we detected, the message we drafted, and the record of which staff member approved, edited or skipped it. That record is the point: it shows a person made each decision.
Who can see a student
Staff at your college, through the tools they already use. Students never sign in to Boom, and no student-facing portal exists.
